The club’s Duck Race always makes for a fantastic August summer bank holiday Sunday! Always a great day and always a superb fundraiser for the club. Amazingly, the last of these took place way back in 2019 – it was a barnstormer, celebrating the club’s 60th anniversary, check it out here – before lockdown tripped up a great run. 

That one event raised OVER £2000 for the club – one other great legacy from the 2019 Duck Race was a super-handy ‘Duck Race Doc’ that neatly notes all that’s needed to make it happen, down to the last sausage for the BBQ. The ‘Duck Race Doc’ also breaks it all down into easily delegated roles (‘Lawn Games’, ‘Ducks’, ‘Bar’ etc), making any future Duck Race straightforward & manageable to co-ordinate…

So, it’s high time to bring it back & we need a plucky club volunteer to take up the reins, for what would fall on Sunday 24th August this year.
